Dear valued partners,
We would like to inform you that our company will remain closed for Orthodox Easter holidays from and including the 1st of May, until the 7th of May.
Easter is the most important religious holiday of the Orthodox Church accompanied with traditions and customs that date back to time. While there are many unique local customs, there are some that are common, like dying eggs red.
Why do we dye the eggs red?
The red color symbolizes the blood and sacrifice of Christ on the cross and the egg symbolizes his resurrection. The first red egg that is dyed is considered to be the egg of the Virgin Mary and is saved in the home for protection against the evil eye until the next year when a new "first egg" is dyed. Traditionally the eggs are dyed on Holy Thursday in preparation for a feast on Easter Sunday.
We wish you Happy Easter!
